Our first full day was a sea day. We first had breakfast at Cafe Promenade (CP). It was nice, calm, and not crowded. Though there were not many food options. We each had a cinnamon -- Travis liked it; I did not. Travis also got another pastry that turned out not so good, so we cannot remember what it was. They had uncrowded easy access to ice water, hot water for tea, and coffee. The hot water for tea was hard to get at the buffet and getting water in general was harder than I would expected on this ship.
Our second breakfast was in the buffet. We found a table in the front by the entrance and bar. I got too many sweet rolls then saw that the guy at the next table had salmon on a bagel with cream cheese. I was not going to get that too but then decided to go back for one too. I got some bonus cream cheese; they had a sundried tomato cream cheese that I wanted to try. I was not sure it would go, but it was was good. Cinnamon and sugar donut was okay, and they had a nicer cinnamon roll than CP.
Then Travis went to the gym, and I walked the promenade deck. It was pretty, but windy. The wake and beautiful ocean.
We had lunch at the MDR; we got right in to a table for two. We came pretty early in the window that the restaurant was open. I was impressed with the size of the chandelier.
Lunch menu:
I was excited for the mozzarella sticks. Travis said that they did not have cheese pull, so he thought that they were not fully mozzarella. However, they were still very good. Travis got lamb and pita sandwich, with lots of lamb - good. I got a steak with garlic and hollandaise sauce; it was okay and fries were a little old. I got chocolate mousse cake. I'm not a big fan of mousse anyway, so just okay. Travis got fruit. I gave him the raspberry from my cake; it was fancier than his fruit.
The Birthday Bash balloon drop was at 4pm. Travis watched from under the blow up piñata. The piñata was up all day.
Tonight was formal night. We did not pack formal; for just 5 nights, it did not seem worth it. Or, I just was not in the mood to pack it. I asked our waiter the night before if we could come without dressing formal. There were some people dressed in formal, but a lot that were not.

Our first towel animals -- cute little mice.
We did not go to the show (production show) tonight. We probably should have for the experience, but did not. Later, I learned that I need to shower, let me hair dry, and fix it before dinner, starting about 3pm, for our late dining time because I'm too slow after dinner and a show. So, I started this routine to have time for the show.
